  1. Allow multiple positions per player

Allow players to have more than one position. For example, a goalie could also play forward.

  2. Link to USA Hockey Reg Database to confirm USA Hockey Reg #

It would be neat to automatically pull in USA hockey registration numbers for the team. Lookup based on email or phone number / state or whatever. I think this would also save commissioners a ton of time in checking each player. Imagine they would pay a little bit for that time savings. It's only a once or twice a year deal, but annoying to do.

  3. Allow managers to set lines without showing players

Currently if I update lines to try to figure out who I want to play a game, all the players can see this. I want to be able to plan lines before making them viable to the team. Even before publishing lines, everyone can see the work in progress

  4. Allow Jersey Color Assignment for Practices

I often like to assign players as light or dark in practice for the purpose of game situation drills or 3v3 scrims in practice. It would be nice to be able to assign jersey colors under practices without having to set it up as a scrimmage.

  7. Allow player payment through no-fee software like Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.

When payment is accepted through the app the fees can add up fast. For our weekly pick up game of just 10 players we pay $14.70 in fees a week. When you add in the $9/month for pro that comes to $67.80 a month. There should be a way for players to pay using the numerous no-fee payment services out there like Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.

  9. Tag team members in a chat message

Chatter can get cluttered - adding the ability to tag a specific player or players in a message would help it stand out. GroupMe bolds any message you are tagged in which is really nice. Big bonus if you have a way to mute chatter notifications with an option to receive them only when directly tagged. Would be a great way to work around that one person every team has who refuses to read the threads.

  10. Team Sponsorship

Provide an option for a team manager or a league to partner with sponsor(s). Since BenchApp already allows a logo to be added for branding it would be additional sponsor opportunity to include a logo and marketing slogan to team Dashboard and/or all email messages

  11. Player handedness

Please bring back visibility of player handedness within line making. It was there before the app was updated.

  12. Special teams ( hockey)

by adding a penalty kill and PowerPlay unit option. It allows you to have more control over your line adjustments and presentation for more organized clubs. As of right now there’s a great opportunity to adjust for basic lines however, it takes extra steps to produce special teams unit.
